INSPIRATION BEHIND THE FUN GUY COLLECTION

The Fun Guy lighting collection draws on the forms and luminescent colouring of wild mushrooms and fungi, celebrating growth, transformation, and the magic that can be found in even the darkest of moments. 

The lights feature reassuringly chunky aluminium stems, capped with handcrafted stained glass shades that surprise and delight with their ever changing interplay of light and colour. 

If you have had a chance to look at the collection, you may have noticed the somewhat peculiar names for the glass shades, such as Witches Butter for the golden-hued glass, or Pixies Parasol for the blue. The naming inspiration came from the non-scientific names for mushroom varieties that share the same tones, and below is a sampling of some of the mushrooms that served as inspiration.
