Drawing on the forms and luminescent colouring of wild mushrooms and fungi, the six-piece offering celebrates growth, transformation, and the magic that can be found in even the darkest of moments.
Reassuringly chunky aluminium stems are capped with handcrafted stained glass shades that surprise and delight with their ever-changing interplay of light and colour. A labour of love, each shade is made up of 32 pieces of glass, all meticulously cut, foiled, and soldered by hand and available in a range of tones and finishes to suit your space.

Handcrafted to order.
Each Frangere piece is meticulously handcrafted and involves many different stages to achieve the finished outcome.
The glass shades are made using a copper foil technique developed in the late 1890’s. Sheets of coloured glass are scored and cut by hand into the desired shape, before being edged in copper foil and pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle. The shade is then soldered together and polished. If desired, patina is also applied to get a blackened finish.
It is a labour intensive practice that celebrates the human hand, traditional production craft, and the unique soul that is breathed into every single piece.
